Anchor text can take a number of different forms from keyword related anchors, to branded anchors, to normal URLs. The biggest factor in the SEO revolution is the rise of content. Instead of stung blog posts with the right formatting and wording to make it to the top of search results, users are looking for quality content (not basic or timely information) more than ever. So is Google.
Setup Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools
Aside from on-site optimization and content marketing, the most important element of your strategy is your link building campaign -- otherwise known as off-site optimization. Long form content is most valuable when it can serve as an extensive resource for readers on a specific topic. This includes long lists of tips, step-by-step guides, and collections of facts and statistics. Google offers another tool called Google Website Optimizer

produce the best conversion rates with visitors. We asked an SEO Specialist, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "The problem with directories: A good directory’s intent is to categorize
the internet into different categories/subcategories, while providing links
to good websites in those categories. Although there are legitimate
directory websites, many were built solely for the purpose of building links
back to webpages without consideration of link quality. This is the wrong
way to build links."
Relevance is the key issue here
Backlinks are clickable links that essentially hold the World Wide Web together in one piece. Create landing pages for your chosen key search terms.
